Serves: 2 — Make more based on how many you plan to serve!

  • 1 Onion
  • 1/2 c. Flour
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 c. Milk
  • 1 c. Panko Bread Crumbs
  • Vegetable Oil For Frying

Directions

  1. Wash and dry all onions.
  2. In one small bowl, add the flour and season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a second bowl, add the eggs and milk. Beat them until smooth.
  4. In a third bowl, pour the panko bread crumbs.
  5. Cut the onion into 1/2″ pieces and divide into rings.
  6. Coat the slices in the flour and then add to the egg mix. Lastly, add the ring to the Panko and set on a plate.
  7. Repeat with every ring.
  8. Over medium heat, heat enough oil to thoroughly cover the rings in a small saucepan. About 2″ of oil should do.
  9. When the oil reaches 375 F, place the onions in the oil in a single layer, working in batches as needed.
  10. Cook 2-3 minutes per side, making sure to turn when the breading is golden brown.
  11. Once the onion rings are golden brown all over, transfer to a plate and serve!
  12. We prefer offering a selection of dipping sauces from ketchup to ranch to a spicy horseradish sauce to spice things up!
