First Stop: Wompatuck State Park in Hingham, Massachusetts

Our first stop is the Wompatuck state park in Hingham, Massachusetts. The 350 acres of the park include lots of streams, ponds, and more. Book your stay at one of the 250 campsites available, and you’ll find plenty of biking, hiking, and horseback riding trails. This destination is not far from Boston and is the perfect place to visit with your family for a quiet start to a long, luxurious road trip.

Second Stop: Battle Row Campground on Long Island

Next, you’ll drive to Battle Road Campground in Nassau County. This campground is not far from Long Island, which makes it perfect for exploring the city while still being able to camp in your RV. After setting up camp for the day, drive into Long Island and enjoy seeing some of the famous sites. We recommend visiting Coney Island or the Brooklyn botanical garden during your stay.

Third Stop: Philadelphia South KOA in Philly

Next, we’ll travel south to Philadelphia, and you’ll stay at the Philadelphia South KOA. This beautiful city is located amid mountains and beautiful rivers, making its skyline unique. The city of brotherly love is also known for having an incredible museum of art and notable historical monuments like the Liberty Bell and independence hall. Additionally, you can visit Kennywood for some thrills or explore the zoo with your kids.

Fourth Stop:  Cherry Hill Park, Near Downtown D.C.

Your last stop will be Washington, D.C. While exploring downtown D.C. you’ll want to stop by the Smithsonian museums, visit Capitol Hill, and spend some time exploring the national monuments. The closest campground is Cherry Hill Park, where you can book your stay.
